A Very Merry Malty Christmas

T’is the season to be jolly and what better way to get there with some whacky flavoursome malts from whisky mavericks, Jon, Mark and Robbo and their Easy Drinking Whisky Company.

The trio have broken the mould when it comes to whisky offering a selection of fun, funky and extremely drinkable malts that provide the perfect contemporary antidote to the fireside and slippers image usually associated with whisky.

The whiskies will appeal to family and friends who like the idea of trying something which has become a favourite amongst industry insiders. Jon, Mark and Robbo have a refreshingly simple approach to whisky drinking: “We believe our whisky is the best there is for us and the great thing is we’ve chucked out the rule book, so drink it where you like, when you like and how you like, it’s for enjoying not worshipping,” says David ‘Robbo’ Robertson.

This shared outlook led to the creation of the company by the three friends and flavour ravers - former master distiller of The Macallan, David “Robbo” Robertson, his mate Mark Geary and brother Jon. Together the trio have revitalised the whisky market, creating a range of whiskies that rely on taste rather than the typical tired images of heather, hemlock, and bagpipes.

The lads three award winning vatted malts taste exactly as they say on the label - The Rich Spicy One, The Smooth Sweeter One, and The Smokey Peaty One.

The whiskies are available in Oddbins (and other great stockists) for only £14 and are packaged in 50cl wax sealed bottles with caricatures of the three founders on the back label, tasting note neck tags, and distinctive, colourful front labels showing the flavour, style, and taste of each whisky.
