Smallprint fingerprint jewellery collection grows for 2008
- more distinctive choices than ever before as range expands -

Smallprint, the first company in the UK to specialise in the creation of stunning pieces of silver jewellery featuring a child’s actual fingerprint, has expanded its collection for 2008. Now including fashionable mobile phone dangles, chunky cufflinks and a variety of chic new charms and chain styles, this marks the biggest expansion for the range since its creation in 2004.

The range is now split into two unique collections: ‘The Signature Collection’, which includes the classic pieces Smallprint is known for, and ‘The Select Collection’, a brand new, more indulgent and decorative range of jewellery.

THE SIGNATURE COLLECTION features the brand new Smallprint mobile phone charm (from £25): the perfect excuse for grown-ups to adorn their phones with a silver dangle! Complete with sterling silver settings, the dangle can be adorned by one or two precious fingerprints from your little ones. For the men, Smallprint has introduced the brand new chunky cufflink design (£75) which is 1.5 times thicker than the original cufflinks. The range of individual charms has also grown to include a funky flower (£20) or chunky versions of the original charms (£35) and there is now a choice of charm bracelet-style with the addition of planet-shaped (from £50) and heart-shaped (from £55). Ensuring there’s a contemporary style choice for every woman, Smallprint has also introduced the solid silver bangle which can be embellished by one or two fingerprint charms (from £50).

THE SELECT COLLECTION boasts exclusive designs from Jane Davis, featuring semi-precious stones and Swarovski Crystals. The natural stones used by Jane, a renowned jewellery designer who has created this collection especially for Smallprint, give a further individual edge to an already unique piece – just like fingerprints, no two stones are alike. There are necklaces and bracelets and a variety of stone choices which will perfectly compliment your child’s silver fingerprint charm. Price start from £55. The Select Collection also features Smallprint’s brand new Tiffany-style necklaces (from £65): these 30"-long necklaces are finished with beautiful circle or heart-shaped toggle clasps and the Italian sterling silver chain comes in three styles – belcher, loveheart and planet – the perfect showcase for your loved-one’s fingerprint which is captured in an equally stylish chunky charm.

Smallprint uses precious metal clay to create original pieces of silver jewellery – once the clay has been rolled out and shaped, the child’s finger is gently pressed in place to create the print. Each piece is then individually sanded, engraved and fired, before being finished with solid silver settings, to create the most imaginative keepsake gift on the market.
