London, UK - 23rd November 2009 - The brand new version of a 22 year old Dame Vera Lynn singing We’ll Meet Again with the current Fron Male Voice Choir is made possible by Audionamix, the music technology company. The company’s unique signal processing and High Definition audio treatment technology allowed Dame Vera's original 1930s vintage vocal track to be isolated for the first time. Commenting on the new recording of We’ll Meet Again, Dame Vera Lynn said: ‘I’m amazed this is possible. It’s wonderful!’

Audionamix ADX Technology turns historic mono or stereo audio recordings into fully separated tracks and components. Among the applications of ADX Technology are voice extraction, up-mixing to create 5.1 spatialisation, re-mastering to improve sound dynamics, and sound restoration whereby noises are isolated and cleaned-up.

Universal Music approached Audionamix to realise its vision of a young Dame Vera Lynn singing with the Fron Male Voice Choir on its latest album. The challenge was that the original classic recording dated from 1939 and was in mono sound. Unlike modern recordings, there was no multi-track version for the Universal sound engineers to mix with the contemporary recording of the choir.

Audionamix worked with Universal Music’s sound engineers to extract the iconic vocals of Vera Lynn from the original orchestration. The sound engineers then used ADX to clean up and re-master the voice track into a high definition stereo component. This was seamlessly integrated with the new orchestration and the contemporary Fron Male Voice Choir. The new single is the first time Audionamix has worked with a major record label. Audionamix has previously worked on movie soundtracks, such as the Oscar winning The Passionate Life of Edith Piaf. On this project, the film makers wanted to use the original sound recording of Edith Piaf singing. Audionamix separated out the voice tracks while conserving all the original elements in order to remix these into the 5.1 surround sound technology of the film.

The new We'll Meet Again single is a track on Memory Lane, the fourth album of the multi-platinum-selling Fron Male Voice Choir released on 23rd November 2009. The track will be released as a single on 14th December 2009.
