ResponseSource says cheers to journalists at our Christmas party

ResponseSource was delighted to host over 200 journalists this week at our (in)famous Christmas party at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. Editors, staff and freelancers from across the industry came together to catch up with colleagues, reconnect with old friends and most importantly make new contacts.

Topics of conversation ranged from the difficulties of recruitment, jobhunting or getting freelance invoices paid to new subscription models for publishers and supporting the next generation of journalists. There were also some memorable chats about Morris dancing and the merits of 9% beer (11 pints and 5 halves)…

What do journalists drink these days anyway?
Here are the top ten drinks served at the ResponseSource Journalist Christmas Party on 11 Dec 2019:
1 – white wine
2 – O.B.B. Bitter
3 – red wine
4 – Alpine lager
5 – India Ale
6 – Extra Stout
7 – Taddy Lager
8 – Pure Brew Lager
9 – Wheat Beer

10 – Double 4 Lager

ResponseSource treasures its relationships with journalists and we love the opportunity to relax at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, get to know our community a bit better and as always, help journalists forge useful new relationships. We’re hugely grateful to everyone who turned out in the rain the day before the General Election, chatted to ResponseSource colleagues, and generally helped make this such  memorable event. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all our journalist community!
