There have been some changes at PR agency Open Communications.

Xamax, the work and sportswear clothing specialist, has appointed Open Comms to manage its PR. The company will provide support with social media tools in order to raise the profile of the business to its client base and encourage footfall to its Wakefield-based retail outlet.

In addition to the account win, Rebecca Hart, former journalist, editorial assistant and blogger, joins the agency as an account executive. Hart will support the growing team to draft press materials, engage with bloggers, manage sponsorship proposals and create social media strategies and schedules for clients.

The team is also celebrating as the agency turns five years old.
