Martin Hamer, who has been digital editor at the Lancashire Evening Post for the past five years, is joining BBC Sport Interactive as a senior broadcast journalist at BBC North’s new headquarters at mediacityUK in Salford.

Hamer worked for the Press Association for 12 years and is also an ex-news reporter with BBC Online.
