Global Radio to launch Capital Network
Global Radio is to rebrand 10 of its regional radio stations as Capital FM.
Trent FM, Leicester Sound and RAM FM will combine to form Capital East Midlands, Red Dragon FM will become Capital Wales, and all six Galaxy stations, based in Scotland, the south coast, Birmingham, Manchester, Yorkshire and the north-east will also join the Capital Network.
Each station will produce regional breakfast and drivetime shows. All other programming will be networked with Capital FM in London, apart from local information, news and adverts.
The changes will be made on 3 January 2011.
