Hamilton resigns from Sunday Mirror to go freelance
The Sunday Mirror showbusiness editor, Sean Hamilton, has resigned to go freelance.
He will work out a three-month notice period before working on freelance print and radio projects that he is developing.
Prior to joining the Sunday Mirror two years ago, Hamilton worked at the Daily Star, where he edited the Hot column, and the Sun, where he was deputy Bizarre editor.
Hamilton’s resignation comes a month after Sunday Mirror showbusiness columnist Zoe Griffin resigned after two years.
Griffin will be replaced by Closer magazine’s Dean Piper, who is due to start in May.
