Newsquest appoints editor in chief for Glasgow titles
Donald Martin, editor of the Newsquest-owned Evening Times, has been promoted to the new role of editor in chief of Newsquest’s The Herald and Sunday Herald.
He replaces Charles McGhee, who announced his resignation in July after two and a half years editing the Glasgow-based daily.
Martin has been editor of the Evening Times for more than two years and a replacement for his role has not yet been announced.
In September, the Herald & Times Group merged the picture desks of its three Glasgow-based newspapers into a single multimedia hub as part of a plan to increase editorial collaboration across its titles.
