The News Shopper series has appointed Richard Firth as editor.

Firth replaces previous editor Jean May who left earlier this year to write for a paper based in the Cayman Islands.

He was previously editor of the Dewsbury Reporter.

The News Shopper series, published weekly by Newsquest, is London’s oldest free local newspaper group.
