Sky News appoints political editor
Sky News has appointed Faisal Islam as political editor.
Islam joins Sky from Channel 4 News where he holds the position of economics editor. At Sky, he will lead the news organisation’s political coverage and deliver the latest news and analysis from Westminster across all Sky News’ digital platforms.
Islam will be taking over from Adam Boulton, the UK's longest serving political editor, who has been in the job at Sky News since the channel launched 25 years ago. He joins Sky News later this year, in time for the Scottish independence refendum in September.
