Focus on Prestigious Venues with managing director Habib Amir

This week’s Focus star is Prestigious Venues managing director Habib Amir, who shares his passion for innovation, good things, and prestigiousness!

About the publication:

Who reads it and how many of them are there?
Our readers are individuals, corporations and event companies, adding up to over 2 million global online readers.

What subjects do you cover? What stories are you most interested in covering?
The magazine is predominantly focused on showcasing Prestigious Venues but we’ll be covering high calibre events, luxury brands and lifestyle. The specific venues range from impeccable hotels, palaces and villas to exclusive restaurants, bars, clubs, halls, galleries, gardens, spas, boats and planes.

What makes you different from the other outlets in your sector?
We publish Digital Interactive Magazines for the world’s most prestigious venues and our digital agency CMAGICS is a pioneer of Digital Magazine Publishing. If you have a look at the magazine, you’ll realise we are the only outlet in the area.

How do you decide the content, front covers and headlines?
Our editorial team is in charge of that.

Do you produce a features list? Why? Why not?
Yes, our features list is available on the magazine itself.

Are you planning to use freelance contributions, and if so, are they for any particular section/type of work?
Yes. We do use selected freelance contributions for some of the subjects we cover.

About you and freelance journalists:

Do you like freelance journalists to get in touch with you directly to pitch ideas? And if so,how? (What should the pitch include and any specifics about how they should send that information to you)
We welcome new ideas and the best way to get in touch is to send my editor an email who’ll discuss this with me.

About PRs:

How should a PR approach you about their client?
Via email.

When is the best time for PRs to contact you & what is your deadline for contributions?
Our next issue comes out in April and the deadline for any contributions is 6th Feb.

About you:

Describe a typical day at work: What are you editorial duties/responsibilities at the outlet?
I conceptualise ideas mostly and sometimes get involved with other areas when they need me.

What interests you most about your job?
Innovating new and exciting ideas for luxury brands and prestigious venues.

Where have you worked previously, and how did you end up in your current position?
CMAGICS! My partners needed a connoisseur of digital media and luxury brands, so I was happy to take charge. My digital agency CMAGICS is still heading innovation. In fact, look up “heading innovation”.

Do you Twitter? Why, why not?
Yes but only when there are good things to share. @PrestigiousVns and @CMAGICS
