Appointments on The Irish Times’ news desk
Roddy O’Sullivan has been appointed news editor at The Irish Times.
O’Sullivan was promoted from deputy news editor, a role he has had since 2005. He joined The Irish Times in 1997 as a reporter before being promoted to assistant news editor in 2000.
Chris Dooley has been appointed deputy news editor.
He also joined The Irish Times in 1997 and has worked in a number of roles since then including south east correspondent, industry and employment correspondent and assistant news editor. He has also previously worked for the Irish Press Group as agriculture correspondent and as news editor for sports paper The Title.
