Broadcaster joins Liverpool Daily Post as city editor
The Liverpool Daily Post has appointed Jim Hancock as city editor.
Hancock, who will write a weekly column for the paper, replaces veteran reporter Larry Neild, who left the paper after 37 years to become a radio presenter on Liverpool’s City Talk.
Hancock is best known as a broadcaster, working for Granada, and then as political editor for the BBC’s North West Tonight until 2006.
The Liverpool Daily Post is a morning paper published daily from Monday to Saturday by Trinity Mirror.
