Earl and Waddington leave Speed
Speed Communications has seen the separate departures of two of its managing directors.
Steve Earl and Stephen Waddington, who have led the agency since it was founded in 2009, have joined Zeno and Ketchum Pleon respectively.
Earl will be MD of Zeno Europe, heading up the agency's European expansion. He will be responsble for charting the firm’s growth in London and other key European cities. Also joining Zeno is John Kerr, formerly Asia-Pacific head of digital for Edelman.
Waddington will be head of digital and social media across Europe for Ketchum, beginning the role in December.
Following the recent acquisition of KTB PR, Speed has appointed Kate Bosomworth, previously managing director and founder of KTB, and Scott McLean, previously deputy managing director, as joint managing directors of the agency. Bosomworth will be driving the growth of Speed's consumer practice, and McLean will be responsible for building the agency's corporate offering and supporting the technology practice.
John Brown, head of consumer tech & gaming, and Matina Macintyre, head of B2B, have also been appointed to the board of Speed, joining Ruth Jones, head of Speed’s technology practice, and Nicola Harrison, head of Speed’s ventures practice. Speed aims to be a top 20 multi-sector PR agency by 2015.
