Staff moves at the FT

Lucy Warwick-Ching, formerly a UK companies reporter, is now deputy editor of the FT’s House & Homes section. She replaces Nicholas Spencer who is acting editor whilst Alison Beard is on maternity leave.

Sarah Spikes, who was covering UK investment banks and mid-market M&A will be leaving to join Arden Partners as a financial analyst. Until she leaves the Financial Times, Spikes will cover Warwick-Ching’s previous beats, leisure, food & drink and tobacco.

Frankfurt correspondent, Ivar Simensen, is leaving on 18 January to join Aker ASA. James Wilson, currently Northern correspondent, will be replacing Simensen.

Adam Jones, Paris correspondent, is returning to the London office to develop the ft.com’s business education section as online business education editor.

Former economics correspondent, Scheherazade Daneshkhu will be going to Paris in February to replace Jones as Paris correspondent.
