The Press Association has appointed Alan Marshall as group managing editor.

Marshall will co-ordinate editorial content as well as manage projects around events such as the London 2012 Olympics.

Prior to this appointment, Marshall held various titles at the Press Association, including head of projects. He replaces John Spencer, who left the role at the end of August this year.
