Following the success of the US version, Conde Nast will launch the UK edition of Wired in 2009.

The magazine will be edited by David Rowan, former editor of the Jewish Chronicle, with Ben Hammersley as deputy editor.

Wired explores ideas and innovation, culture, politics and business, and how technology impacts contemporary civilisation.
