Local World sends Shepard to Sevenoaks

Publisher Local World has appointed Gabriel Shepard as editor of the Sevenoaks Chronicle. Shepard joins the West Kent weekly from sister title the Croydon Advertiser where he has been news editor since 2011. Shepard will begin his role on 22 April, replacing Roger Kasper who has taken over as editor of the Kent & Sussex Courier following the departure of Ian Read last month.

Shepard's successor at the Croydon Advertiser has not yet been decided.
