Nuts magazine releases final issue

IPC Media publishes its 'final issue' of Nuts magazine today. This follows previous news of its potential closure at the start of April. 

The front cover of the edition, entitled 'The Final Issue', features the dates of its ten-year UK newsstand lifespan – 2004-2014. Glamour model for the cover is Lucy Pinder, who had been a frequent feature in the men's interest magazine. The Nuts website has also posted a "10 years of boobs with the Queen" compilation of Pinder's past photoshoots.

The closure of the publication follows last year's 'Lose the lads mag' campaign from equal rights organisations UK Feminsta and Object, and the launch of a 'Keep your hands off our Nuts' response from the weekly magazine. ABC circulation for the July-Dec 2013 period had fallen to 62,118.
