10gen selects LEWIS PR for EMEA support

10gen, the company behind MongoDB, has appointed LEWIS PR as its retained agency for EMEA with a focus on the UK and Germany.

LEWIS has been appointed to spearhead awareness of the company’s momentum across the EMEA region. The campaign will focus on content generation and placement to highlight 10gen’s leadership in the marketplace. Key to the campaign is also building momentum around the fast growing NoSQL database market and cementing 10gen’s role at the heart of this.

“10gen has a fast-growing client base, particularly amongst large enterprises that have to handle vast volumes of data and are starting to see the cost benefits of an open-source model in the current economy. With new positioning and a strong thought leadership platform, we will help 10gen to clearly articulate its offering and points of differentiation to help grow the developer community and encourage enterprise adoption,” explained Sally O’Neill, VP international at LEWIS PR.

“Our decision to work with LEWIS came from the team’s strong industry experience, their grasp of what we do – and the issues that matter to us,” explained Paz Macdonald, director of EMEA marketing at 10gen. “We must have the right communications partner in place to help shape our story moving forward, and to ensure our profile is being raised correctly and effectively in the UK and Germany. Having worked with LEWIS before and seeing their ideas for 10gen, it was a clear choice.”

Established by Dwight Merriman and Eliot Horowitz in 2007, 10gen leads development, builds community and provides commercial services for the open source database, MongoDB.
