Trinity Mirror has confirmed that 85 journalists have lost their jobs at Scottish titles the Daily Record and Sunday Mail as part of the editorial restructure announced in June.

The majority of those losing their jobs will leave the company over the next two months. This will leave around 130 editorial staff across the titles.

The editorial restructure has outsourced the design and subbing of magazine and features content to the Press Association. It also plans for the Scottish titles to share non-Scottish news and features with sister-titles the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and People.
