AERBT renamed The Business Travel News
The web-based travel newsletter AERBT (An Executive Review of Business Travel) becomes The Business Travel News from Monday 28 May.
“I was at a major presentation just a few weeks ago where many of the guests did not have English as their first language,” said Editor in Chief Malcolm Ginsberg, “Explaining AERBT was a bit of mouthful. A change was needed. It has been something we’ve been considering for some time, together with remodelling the web site”.
BT News, aimed travel providers and the business traveller, is published on the world wide web at midnight in the UK on a Sunday evening. Its format includes 20 news stories, COMMENT, a topical editorial piece and a leisure feature story. Once a month a senior person in the industry is invited to have their say “On the Soapbox”. Contributors have included Sir Richard Branson; Keith Williams, CEO, British Airways; Carolyn McCall, CEO, easyJet; Jean-Claude Baumgarten, President and CEO, World Travel & Tourism Council; Andrew Haines, Chief Executive, CAA; and Sir Roger Bone, President, Boeing UK. Monthly there is a cruising page and a road test by Ted Wilkinson of the Guild of Motoring Writers.
