Amal Fashanu appoints The Cult

The Cult PR is to represent Amal Fashanu, a TV presenter, model, musician and charity campaigner, to launch fashion line Black Heart as well as high profile equality campaigns and a host of soon-to-be-announced projects.

Fashanu, the daughter of footballer John Fashanu and Spanish model Marisol Acuna, was inspired by her late uncle, Justin Fashanu, who wanted to use fashion to spread the fight for equality through cool, credible and edgy clothing. She shot to fame last January with BBC Three documentary 'Britain's Gay Footballers', which aimed to find out why Justin tragically committed suicide after becoming Britain's first footballer to come out. The first brand from the label will be Fash and U.

The Cult will be tasked with raising Fashanu's profile, promoting her fashion line, helping her to set up her own charity to campaign for equality, securing endorsement opportunities, as well as promoting a star-studded launch event for Black Heart and PR surrounding her TV projects.
