Midland’s agency McCann Birmingham has added two new appointments to its PR team to help spearhead its broadcast and social media offering.
Account director Tom Grocott has joined from Leader Communications where he was PR director. He brings with him a variety of consumer brand experience, having developed PR and social media strategies for a range of clients, including Greggs the Bakers, Marstons and Raymond Gubbay. At McCann, Grocott is leading campaigns for clients such as CarShop and Topps Europe Ltd, while continuing to build on his expertise in digital and social media.
Television expert Jemma Caldwell has also joined McCann as senior account executive. Her broadcast experience includes having worked on TV shows such as Coast and Countryfile for the BBC, X Factor for ITV and The Gadget Show and Fifth Gear for Channel 5 as well as spending time at Maverick Television working on a digital project for the NHS. Caldwell is leading McCann's drive into delivering content directing filming projects for clients such as Siemens, npower and David Wilson Homes.
