Aspectus PR, a global communications and PR agency focusing on financial services, energy, engineering and B2B technology and events, today announced its appointment by The IMS Group/Hedge Op Compliance to deliver its global communications strategy.

IMS is an award-winning regulatory compliance consultancy for the asset management and securities industry. In January 2012, it announced a merger with US-based HedgeOp Compliance LLP, which focuses exclusively on helping investment managers meet their compliance, operational and due diligence challenges. As a result of the merger, IMS now has offices in London, New York, Boston and San Francisco, and supports more than 800 investment firms globally.

Aspectus will be working with IMS to help develop its core messaging and create content for national, international and financial services media across its UK and US operations. The appointment marks further growth for Aspectus PR’s financial services practice, which has secured a number of new clients over the past year and solidifies its position as a specialist in the alternatives space.

“Aspectus has a very strong knowledge base across IMS’s areas of expertise, so it’s a very natural fit,” said Ellie Bacon, deputy managing director, Aspectus PR. “It is an exciting time to be working with IMS following the merger with HedgeOp. We look forward to leading its global communications through expert advice, strategic guidance and creative ideas to ensure we consolidate its thinking and vision into a deliverable strategy.”

Louise Yates, marketing and communications director at IMS commented: “Aspectus is a great match for IMS. Through its expert guidance we can develop our already strong reputation in the market and ensure a strong profile for the company globally. Aspectus’s market expertise and in-depth understanding of our work means they’ve been able to hit the ground running. With Aspectus, we have brought on board a PR agency that can not only support our growth, but also grow with us.”
