Brintons appoints Grayling for corporate communications programme
Brintons, the 200-year-old British carpet manufacturer has appointed Grayling to handle a corporate communications programme in the UK and US following a competitive three-way pitch handled by the PRCA’S FAPRA service.
Bought by the global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group in 2011, Brintons not only make carpet for our homes; the commercial side of the business carpets the world.
The account will be led by Mary Whenman, managing director of Grayling’s Corporate & Financial practice, and Sophia Harrison, director of Financial & Professional Services.
Mary Whenman said: “Brintons is a great British brand which needs to re-establish itself as an iconic brand on the global stage. We will be working with the senior management team to help build faith and pride in their corporate reputation and support their plans for international growth.”
Don Coates, group managing director at Brintons, said: “We are looking forward to working with Grayling – their fresh approach, senior counsel and creative ideas made them an obvious partner and the chemistry and fit was just right.”
Francis Ingham, chief executive of the PRCA, said: “I’m delighted to see that FAPRA had partnered PRCA member Grayling with a multinational brand. They are obviously a perfect fit, and I wish them both the best of luck.”
