Capella PR has been appointed by Oakam, a UK-based lender providing financial services to the underbanked and to microbusinesses, to handle its PR.

Capella is tasked with supporting Oakam as it scales the business by driving innovation and digitising its model so it can be applied across the UK and beyond. Oakam will achieve this by applying in-store learnings around encouraging responsible borrowing habits to the digital world, beginning with a new smartphone app, due for release in September 2015.

Capella PR will run an integrated communications campaign, using traditional and social media to showcase Oakam’s digital innovations and demonstrate how the company helps the underbanked improve their financial wellbeing.
