David Bond, the sports editor for The Daily Telegraph, has been appointed sports editor for the BBC.

He will replace Mihir Bose who resigned earlier this year.

Bond will contribute to the news bulletins and various sports programmes at the corporation. His replacement at The Daily Telegraph has not been named.
