26th January 2010

The Sunday Post has appointed Donald Martin as editor.

Martin has been editor in chief at The Herald group of newspapers, which comprise Glasgow titles The Herald, The Sunday Herald and The Evening Times, since December 2008. Before then, he had edited the Evening Times. His first editorship was at the Edinburgh and Lothians Post, followed by the North West Evening Mail (Cumbria) and Aberdeen’s Evening Express.

Martin replaces previous editor David Pollington, who took early retirement at the end of last year.

The Sunday Post is a Dundee-based national Scottish paper owned by DC Thomson.
