Edge, the multi-format videogame magazine, has launched a fully interactive iPad edition featuring interactive pages, full-screen video and exclusive extra content.

The iPad edition is fully retina display enabled to take advantage of the razor-sharp image quality on the new iPad and contains a raft of interactive content in addition to the print edition, including animations, video, additional content and sharable text.

Tony Mott, editor-in-chief of Edge, says: “We know that our readers have high expectations of Edge, and we’re meeting those expectations with this new, dedicated iPad edition. With interactive pages, bespoke video and other exclusive content, this edition gives readers exciting new ways to engage with one of the most established and trusted names in videogaming.”

The Edge iPad Edition is the latest interactive title to be created using Future’s own proprietary software, FutureFolio. FutureFolio is an Apple-approved wrapper for digital products on the Newsstand, and has already been used to build Cycling News HD and the interactive editions of Total Film and Tap!, says Future.

The Edge iPad Edition is available to download from www.edge-online.com/ipad for the special introductory price of £1.99 for two weeks only. Thereafter, each monthly edition will be priced at £3.99.The free sampler edition is also available from the Edge Container App now.
