Galway Independent’s deputy editor, Deirdre O’Shaughnessy, will be replacing David Forsythe as editor of the Cork Independent from 9 July 2009.

Marie Madden, who reports for the health and living sections of the Galway Independent, will take over from O’Shaughnessy’s current role.
