Editorial changes at the New Statesman

Caroline Crampton has been appointed web editor of the New Statesman. She will work across all sections of the website, commissioning and editing online-only content as well as overseeing the digital publication of magazine material. Crampton will also work on expanding the New Statesman's social media presence and make contributions to the blog.

Samira Shackle is leaving the title to pursue a freelance career, after nearly four years as staff writer. She is available for commissions, specialising in domestic politics, South Asia, and social affairs. She tweets @samirashackle and can be contacted on samira.shackle@gmail.com. She will continue to write a regular blog for the New Statesman.
