River has announced that Mary Frances, editor of Weight Watchers Magazine, has been promoted to editorial director.

In her new role Frances will continue to work on the UK edition while also working on the development of the seven new international editions launching in 2012.

Jean Elgie has been promoted from deputy editor to associate editor with special responsibility for health. Elgie also edits Your Week, the weekly mini-magazine given to members of Weight Watchers at meetings.

Finally Charlotte Bradshaw has joined the magazine as deputy editor. She was previously deputy editor of Zest and She at Hearst Magazines.
