Geoffrey Lean, the Independent on Sunday’s environment editor, is to leave the paper to join the Daily Telegraph.

Lean has been at the Sunday title for sixteen years but will leave soon to become consulting editor (environment) at the Telegraph, where he will also write a weekly column.

Lean has previously worked for The Observer, Daily Mail, and the London Evening Standard.
