Fastest Triangle in the world

Triangle PR is set to become the world’s fastest PR company, following agreement with the team behind the world land speed record to sponsor a new attempt to break through the 1,000 mph barrier. The deal sees Triangle as the first and, currently, only PR or marketing company to sponsor the project.

The ‘Bloodhound SSC’ car that will be used for this latest supersonic attempt is led by Richard Noble OBE, a former land speed record holder and the man behind the current record set by driver, Wing Commander Andy Green in 1997. Andy Green will also take to the wheel for the 1,000 mph attempt, which is due to take place in 2012.

Triangle secured the opportunity to become one of only 100 SME Sponsors of the project, following the unveiling of a full size replica of the Bloodhound SSC ‘car’ that will be making the attempt at the Farnborough International Airshow.

Speaking about the agency’s decision to invest in the Bloodhound Programme, Triangle MD, Chris Hamer said: “Opportunities like this are truly unique; in the same vein as Richard Branson’s hot air balloon attempts. From a marketing perspective, it’s a great way of differentiating ourselves from other PR agencies. The Bloodhound project challenges the ‘norm’ and challenges the team members as individuals; that’s something that fits in well with Triangle’s own philosophy and the way we work.

“What’s more, it’s just a great thing to do. Richard and the Bloodhound team are fantastic and really want us to get involved and be part of the programme.”
