First News and Sky News Launch The Sky News Bulletin
On Friday 21 January, First News and Sky News launched The Sky News Bulletin, a weekly news service for young people.
The bulletin can viewed at both school and home, with schools across the UK able to access the service on classroom whiteboards during lesson time. Video content for the bulletin can be found at First News TV.
Nicky Cox, editor, First News, commented: “We have an essential role to play in helping young people to understand about the world in which they are growing up and where they fit into it. The news bulletin reinforces our ethos that we are not afraid to tackle all news stories and, by partnering with such an established brand as Sky News, we can bring the latest world developments to children and give context to national and international events.”
John Ryley, head of Sky News, said: “I have for a long time been an advocate of children’s news having been encouraged at a very young age to discuss current affairs so we are pleased to be working with First News.”
The Sky News Bulletin will be added to FeaturesExec shortly.
