FT appoints comment and analysis editor

The Financial Times has appointed Alec Russell as comment and analysis editor. Russell, who was previously world news editor, will replace Caroline Daniel who is taking up the post of FT Weekend editor.

In his new role Russell will be responsible for editing the features pages, including the op-ed page and Business Life.

Daniel takes over as FT Weekend editor on 1 June and will replace Andy Davis who is “currently exploring new opportunities at the FT”.
