FT hires Sunday Telegraph journalists
The Financial Times has hired The Sunday Telegraph’s deputy business editor Sylvia Pfeifer as defence industries correspondent.
Pfeifer joined The Sunday Telegraph in 2003 and covered telecommunications, aerospace, defence and pharmaceuticals before becoming deputy business editor.
As the FT’s defence industries correspondent, Pfeifer will be covering aerospace and defence and will also focus on British Airways, Rolls Royce and major overseas defence contractors.
The Sunday Telegraph columnist Niall Ferguson has also been hired by the FT.
Ferguson, who specialised in the history of finance, has been appointed contributing editor at the FT.
Ferguson will write a blog on the FT.com website about international finance. He will also provide essays and reviews for the FT Weekend edition and contribute to the paper’s op-ed page.
