Furniture Village, the UK-based privately-owned furniture retailer, has appointed Deliberate PR to handle its media relations following a competitive pitch process involving 3 agencies.

Deliberate PR will be responsible for raising awareness of the Furniture Village brand in the UK media through national online and offline media campaigns, as well as implementing a regional PR strategy to support the brand’s 40 stores across the country. A focus of Deliberate PR’s work will be the development of news angles which celebrate British craftsmanship, as well as create debate about colour and the function of furniture within the changing domestic environment.

Charlie Harrison, director of marketing at Furniture Village, comments: "We are looking forward to working with Deliberate PR, who pride themselves on their distinctive approach and breadth of client experience. We were impressed with their ideas for helping Furniture Village set the news agenda, and the potential for these creative angles to work well online.”

Benjamin Webb, managing director of Deliberate PR, comments: “To work with the UK’s largest privately-owned retailer of its type is incredibly exciting. We look forward to confirming that the faith of Furniture Village in our abilities was well placed.”
