Future has appointed Clair Porteous as group publisher of its film portfolio.

Porteous replaces Stuart Gilbraith in this role who is instead taking control of titles Official Xbox 360 Magazine; Xbox World, the independent Xbox 360 title; and boys’ action title Nitro, effective from 7 February.

Porteous had previously worked as publisher of Nuts.

Porteous will be responsible for Future’s film titles including SFX and DVD & Blu-ray Review along with associated web properties, specials and events. SFX provides reviews and features regarding the science fiction, fantasy and horror genres. DVD & Blu-ray Review “is the UK’s market-leading DVD title” offering news, reviews, and more relating to DVD and Blu-ray.

Her appointment follows the alignment of Future’s games and film brands into one expanded entertainment group at the end of 2010.
