Guardian Online to move to global online domain

Guardian Online will adopt a global domain later this year, moving from its current Guardian.co.uk online address to TheGuardian.com. 

Guardian News & Media's chief digital officer Tanya Cordrey said of the move: "This may be a small URL change but it marks a big step for The Guardian and reflects our evolution from a […] national print newspaper based only in the UK to a global news and media brand, with offices around the world, and a […] worldwide audience accessing Guardian journalism."
