Guardian team shuffle
Guardian News & Media has announced changes to its production team today across its range of print and online outlets.
David Marsh will be production editor of The Guardian. He will report to Jon Casson who has been appointed head of production. Casson will be responsible for all the subeditors across the group’s print and online formats.
Damian Carrington has been made head of the environment ‘pod’, which covers the print and online production teams at the news group. Steve Busfield will become head of the media and technology ‘pod’, which will include the Guardian’s Technology print section, MediaGuardian and the Observer’s media coverage.
Busfield had been news editor of guardian.co.uk, but this position will now be taken by Jason Deans.
The Guardian’s sports team has had several changes, including Martin Rose’s appointment to head of sports production.
The new sports editor is now Ian Prior while the role of sports news editor is now covered by Mark Redding. Deputy sports editor of guardian.co.uk is now James Dart. In the rest of sports, Matthew Hancock is sports features editor and Mike Adamson is football features editor.
