Hotwire wins European brief with PacketVideo
Hotwire, the international communications consultancy, has won the European PR brief for PacketVideo and its consumer brand Twonky, the connected home technology experts. Hotwire is tasked with raising awareness of Twonky’s connected media apps and multi-media portal for smartphones and tablets.
The myTwonky portal, TwonkyVideo and Twonky Beam Browser apps let consumers search, discover, combine, index and beam content from the web, the cloud or a home network to any internet-enabled TV.
The agreement will see Hotwire roll out campaigns in the UK, France and Germany. Campaigns outlined will involve consumer product launches and updates, as well as building PacketVideo’s thought leadership position in the entertainment, media and technology industry.
Jeri Egbert, director of corporate marketing at PacketVideo, commented on the appointment: “We were looking for an agency which combined strong credentials in the consumer technology and media space, with European reach and the flexibility to scale-up operations globally. Hotwire’s enthusiasm and experience were an ideal fit for PacketVideo.”
Rebecca Honeyman, director at Hotwire, said: “We are delighted that PacketVideo has chosen to work with us across Europe at such an exciting time in its business. Over the last few years, the way we consume and share entertainment content has transformed and we are excited to be building the profile of a brand at the forefront of this entertainment revolution.”
