NowGamer v2.0 has launched with a whole host of new developments.

The new website places more emphasis on multimedia. There will be video content throughout the site including, for example, embedded trailers and gameplay footage in featured reviews; game trailer premieres on the homepage; and video content in features, previews, news and cheats. HD content will also be more prevalent on the site as video and screenshots will benefit from higher resolution.

Social networking features will also be prominent on the site through new features that encourage interaction and sharing. Improved commenting and links with social networking sites will allow easier communication between readers; and there will be improved interaction with the site’s editorial team.

The website has also received a complete visual overhaul. There will be more images displayed across the site and a number of design and database changes have been implemented to improve navigation.

Other developments include the introduction of a CMS-based platform to allow easier future development, and the introduction of host themed channels.
