Irish Mail appoints managing editor

Paul Drury, executive editor of the Irish Daily Mail and the Irish Mail on Sunday, has been appointed managing editor of both papers.

Drury, who has been in journalism for 30 years, is taking a month’s break before starting his new role.

His responsibilities will include liaising with the new Irish Press Council, hiring staff, leader writing and masterminding weekend features.
