The Star in Sheffield has seen the resignation of editor John Furbisher.

Furbisher had been acting editor of The Star since January 2009 and was appointed to the permanent role in June 2010. He was previously deputy editor of the Yorkshire Post and editor of the Halifax Evening Courier.

A replacement has not yet been appointed.
