Social communications consultancy Journalista has appointed Georgie Agass to head up the health and social sector communications team.

Agass is former assistant director for communications and engagement at NHS Wiltshire and has gained PR experience in primary care settings and as a senior press officer for the Department of Health.

She will be supported by media executive Rob Macpherson, who joined Journalista from left-wing thinktank Progress earlier this year.

The agency won two new accounts in March, patient experience solutions provider Patient Focus and the new adult social care standard, 360 Forward.
