Ecoisland, a UK sustainability project, has appointed Life Size Media to communicate its global vision. On top of this, the creative communications agency has been awarded the Planet Postive certification.

Ecoisland is creating a ‘greenprint’ for sustainability, starting with making the Isle of Wight almost entirely self-sustaining by the end of the decade. Project partners include SSE, Southern Water, Toshiba, ITM Power, Silver Spring Networks and Cable and Wireless.

The Planet Positive certification that was awarded to Life Size Media is an international mark of sustainability. For the agency, achieving certification involved demonstrating a commitment to being environmentally responsible through various awareness actions, such as watching waste, travelling to work sustainably and responsible sourcing of office materials. In addition to these measures, Life Size Media’s footprint has nearly halved from 10.1 tonnes CO2e to 5.1 tonnes since their 2010-2011 audit.
