Malaysia Airlines chooses PCC as its UK PR agency
Travel and transport agency, Perowne Charles Communications, has been selected by Malaysia Airlines to handle its PR in the UK and Ireland market.
PCC will help co-ordinate the launch into service of the airline’s first A380 aircraft, scheduled to fly between London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur from 2nd July 2012.
Malaysia Airlines, which is renowned for its high quality of service and Malaysian hospitality, is also due to join the oneworld airline alliance later this year.
PCC, which was chosen over several other agencies, is known for its extensive expertise in the aviation industry – co-founder Paul Charles was previously director of communications for Virgin Atlantic and the agency was chosen by British Midland International (bmi) to oversee its PR in the UK during 2010/11, prior to bmi being sold by Lufthansa to IAG. PCC’s account team has also worked with British Airways and Air Malta.
Paul Charles, CEO of PCC, added: “Malaysia Airlines is about to embark on a major milestone in its history – adding the innovative A380 to its fleet and offering its guests an even better in-flight and on-the-ground experience. PCC is looking forward to helping Malaysia Airlines get the recognition it deserves in the UK for the quality of its service to South-East Asia.”
